This website was made to catalog events, people, and work that comes out of the Lyric Video Community. The
community is comprised of several editors who create the same niche of lyric videos.
In this context “lyric videos” or “lyrics” are videos edited in sync with all audible sounds within a song. These
sounds are often displayed or animated by use of strings of text, or visual effects.
Electronic Dance Music is the most popular genre within the community, with EDMLyrics being the pioneer of this
niche editing style. As of recent people have been exploring genres that do extend beyond just EDM.
The idea of this website was initially just a joke until I realized I could probably create something close to it.
It also serves as a way for me to get into web development I suppose.
